Reusable e-cigarettes contain both closed and open system devices for e-liquids. All e-cigarettes produce some waste, but fortunately they are largely recyclable.
How to sort and recycle an e‑cigarette properly?
Luckily e-cigarettes are largely recyclable, as long as all pieces are handled correctly.
Batteries for e-cigarettes should be recycled at designated recycling points. Packaging materials can be recycled with household waste, when sorted correctly.
Contact your local recycling center for more information about how your e-cigarette can be recycled.
E-liquid bottles or nicotine pods should not be disposed of as mixed-household waste.
PMI has started cooperating with R-kioskis – you can now recycle nicotine pods in all R-kioskis across Finland!
How does the cooperation with R‑kioskis work?
You can get recycling pouches from R-kioskis in which you can collect your nicotine pods at home from a longer period. Each R-kioski has a recycling box into which the pouch can be emptied.
R-kioskis will forward the pods to our recycling partner in Riihimäki, who will separate metal and plastic from the pods and recycle them for proper reuse.
Thank you for recycling!
