E-cigarettes are growing in popularity among adult smokers. They cannot yet be disposed as regular waste, thus, they need to be collected separately, so they can be disassembled correctly (usually separating plastic and metal) and then recycled. The remaining materials are reused for other purposes.
Now you have access to more than 530 OMAVAPE Green boxes around the country. You can find them at your local R-kioski. Locate your nearest recycling station on the map at Kierratys–Omavape.
E-cigarette waste must be treated separately from regular recycled waste. The reason is that usually e-cigarette pods and devices contain metal and plastic, which needs to be separated in order to be reused. Devices should be treated as electronic waste, as they contain batteries. Once the materials are separated, they are transformed into pellets, used for various industrial applications.
It is the responsibility of every adult user to dispose their e-cigarette waste correctly, so it can be recycled. Be kind to nature and yourself and be proactive in doing so.
